The Sauna For 3 was our winning entry for the competition Winterstations Toronto, on the designated theme “Freeze Thaw”. Built on a budget of $9,000 the polycarbonate structure was open continuously on the frozen Scarborough Beach of Lake Ontario through the winter of 2016, offering a steamy experience for the public who dared try it, and a misty view of flesh for passers-by. At night the sauna glowed like a creature from the depths of the lake.
